Padlet - Toilet Tech #1
What can it do?
Padlet is an Internet based tool you can use to create a
virtual notice board that students can contribute to without logging on and
without any saving procedure. This makes it ideal for use with the students
from PYP4 to PYP8. You can type, add a link, upload a document or take a
picture. This flexibility opens up any number of possible uses in and around
the classroom.
How do you get started?
You do not have to log in to create a Padlet. Once you start
to use the tool often I would recommend creating an account. This allows you to
have more control of the Padlets you create.
Padlet is a great tool for collecting in students' ideas
either before or after a lesson/unit/topic. Once you have the ideas recorded
you can revisit them as a class and build on what they already have created.
Students could use Padelt to:
- share what they know at the start of the unit.
- record questions they have at the start of the unit of inquiry.
- contribute a story problem for the next math class.
- research a topic and share the facts and resources they found.
- follow a link to a video and post their reflections and wonders to be reviewed in class.
